Spoooktacular Backyard BBQ Event

Our Spooktacular Backyard BBQ Contest is the ABSOLUTE LAST KCBS sanctioned Backyard BBQ contest for the 2021 season offering teams one last chance to earn dollars and KCBS Backyard points to end the season!

It's Halloween weekend, and our plans were to include some fun activities for the whole family, but at this time, we are limiting the event to the BBQ Contest only.  We've discussed our safety plans with local officials, and they have no concerns regarding this event. 

TEAM SITES:  Teams will set up in a large grassy area with plenty of space to easily distance 10'-20' from another team if you wish.   There are NO power hook-ups for this event, so if you need electric, feel free to bring your own generator and power cords.  Water will be available from the fire department, but may not have a hose outlet at your specific site depending on where you choose to set-up (we're very flexible with your space).

SCHEDULE:

   Friday, Oct. 29th:           

          ~  Teams may arrive / set-up after 2:00 PM

          ~  COOK's MEETING:   7:00 PM (at the fire station behind team sites)

   Saturday, Oct. 30th:       

         ~  JUDGES:     Check-in:   10:00 AM   /   JUDGES Meeting:  Approx. 10:30 AM

         ~  TURN-IN's:      12:00 PM - Chicken 

                                               12:30 PM - Ribs

         ~  AWARDS:         2:30 PM
